HI everybody I hope you had a good Xmas. I think the new school Rocks. I can not take my mind off the SATS i am nervous but I am getting all the help off all of the teachers.

Kirk Balk is alright but no way is it better than Hoyland Common. I've made some new mates and there great also the rest of Y7 have i bet. All the lessons are alright but i prefer lessons back at Hoyland Common. You Y7 to be will love science at Kirk Balk you get to do proper experiments using chemicals and bunson burners, that's really the only lesson i like as you can do something fun. i love the new school

We have been doing about Oakton. We know that lady Harris has sold a part of her land. Mr Fisher is angry that he knows that his school is going to be knocked down in oakton. We know that the oaktree is going to be knocked down or going to be moved out of Oakton for ever.

I left this school 23 years ago, Mr Sylvester was my final year (year 4 as it were then) class teacher. Its quite sad to see the old school gone, but the new one looks great. Whats happened to the outdoor swimming pool then???

We are learing about Oakton and it is brillant. My name is David Lee in oakton. The oaktree is going to get knock down. Mrs Linda Jenkins is trying to help us villagers so that the oaktree will not get knocked down because our village will not be called oakton any more.

Hello everybody, it's nearly sats and I hope everyone get's brilliant scores because I know how hard every year 6 has been working. All the teachers have been helping us as much as they can and they are great teachers I know every year 6 is going to do great in the sats!!!

This school is the best school I've ever been to. They could get your grades from a level 3 to a 4 or a 4 to a 5. We have specialist teachers like Mr Banham. This school rocks!

Hey everyone the new school is definetly on the wow factor! The classrooms are like woah. It is so mych better than the old school because in Mr Hasteys class in the old school the ceiling kept falling in but now it is all strong and the hall, that is something else! I think the opening was very good. The best part was when they played the music.

I enjoyd the opening ceremony of our new school because I cut the ribon with the mayoress I was scared. I also liked the music. Did'nt Mr Sylvester look very jolly?

The opening was very good because we got to see the mayoress. The opening was on Wednesday. Mr Sylvester showed the mayoress round and Mr Sylvester was very proud of the new school and the opening.

The new school looks massive on the out side and it is. It is an exellent school.

The new school is brilliant. My favourite bit is the multi use games areas.

The new school opening was exelent and i was singing to the songs but not all of them because I did'nt no all of them. Tthe singers were brilliant. I was so excited that I could'nt get to sleep but I did eventually.(ohhhh) I wondered what was going to happen next. When it happend I was so amazed. It was that amazing that the next night I was singing the songs in my head.

At the school opening all the children were very quiet and well behaved. We knew who the Mayor was because of her gold necklace.

When the opening came I was suprised. The singing was the best and the mayor was very pleased. They was two people from Kirk Balk school. There was a famous guitar player. Mr Banhamwas singing,Mr Hastey was playing the gartar and Mrsargent was playing the drums and guit.

I like Mrs Harrison because we get to go swimming!!!!.

The new school is brilliant because the hall is bigger than I thought it was and I like the underfloor heating because it does not rattle like the old one

Hi everyone. It's great to be back, hope you all had a great holiday. It's wonderful to see everyone again and I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new nursery children and their parents!

WOW what a great website first time have checked it out and very impressed. Helpful, informative and I can keep a track on kids work.......Hope the footie team have as good a year as the last. Every confidence in you boys and girls........{p.s if you need any footie advice Mr Banham just give us a shout..ha ha}

Mrs Turnbull's class is very fun. I really enjoy it. I like doing all the experiments and the work although it some times it can be a little bit hard.

Its great to be back and I'm really looking forward to another successful and fun year!
